This study develops a compartmental mathematical model to describe the transmission of Lassa fever among human and rodent populations. The model incorporates the Direct Observation therapy strategy as control measure. We derive the basic reproduction number 𝑅0using the next generation matrix and analyze the stability of disease-free and endemic equilibria. The results provide theoretical thresholds crucial for understanding disease persistence and eradication dynamics.
